Country representative of World Health Organization (WHO), Dr Roderico Ofrin, has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making the fight against COVID-19 a ‘Jan Andolan’.

He stated that the Government of India should be proud of the resilience that was exhibited during the pandemic. He added that the nationwide vaccination drive is a successful one. The WHO country representative remarked that India is a responder and a resource for the world, particularly in vaccinations and added that the knowledge can be shared with the world, as he termed "a prepared India is a prepared world." "It is a whole of society approach and India is a responder and a resource especially for vaccination now.
